A large-format heavy paperback published in 1963 containing edited scores of Lawes's work. Includes four of the "harp consorts" which Lawes wrote for violin, bass viol, theorbo and harp - probably a chromatic early irish harp. One is on a bass theme by Cormacke - being Cormack MacDermott, an Irish harper at the English royal court in the 17th century. The book includes a brief introduction and four facsimile pages including the opening of harp consort no. 8 in G major.
