This 23 page book presents fully notated arrangements of Derek Bell’s playing of Carolan’s music, as recorded by him (his record also titled “Carolan’s Receipt” was released in 1975). The arrangements, for “tiompan&rdquo (i.e. hammered dulcimer or cymbalon), “Irish harp” (i.e. early Irish harp with wire strings) and “neo-Irish harp” (i.e. lever harp with gut strings) are all very classically notated with Italian directions for speed, loudness etc. The introduction by Bell is dated 1972 but the copyright notice on the music pages is 1980.
