Stuart Eydmann
In Good Hands: The Clarsach Society and the renaissance of the Scottish harp
The Clarsach Society, 2017
A very interesting and useful paperback book which investigates the history of the “small harp” in Scotland from the 1890s onwards. The book was written for the Clarsach Society and so naturally enough it concentrates on the activities of the Society and people associated with it, with less attention paid to harps and harpists outside of that scene. But Stuart has done a lot of good work in investigating how the scene developed and who some of the important people were in it. 137 pages and loads of black-and-white photos from the archives.
